Development Co-ordinator (self-employed), Seed Studios
- Closes 1st February 2019
- Salary Paid (£25k-30k pro rata)

Seed Studios is an arts and wellbeing organisation running music and media studios in Old Trafford & Broomwood (Timperley). We work holistically to tackle health inequalities by empowering people to achieve their creative goals. Using music as a tool we improve wellbeing, confidence and social capital, helping local people gain a better chance in life. At the core of our activities are community workshops offering creative and social opportunities for everyone nearby. We encourage trained volunteers to lead sessions, sharing skills and equipment while developing their own artistic practice inspired by local diversity.
We’re searching for an enthusiastic and people focused Development Co-ordinator to support our community arts volunteers and charity Trustees in growing Seed Studios. In this role you will help co-ordinate the activities of the organisation, with specific focus on: the development of a small number of funding opportunities (in collaboration with Trustees); offering support to Volunteers to help them realise their music workshops; and continuing to implement our evaluation and reporting procedures.
This role has been running since mid-2018 and current funding ends in Apr/May 2019. The role holder will need to work with Trustees to focus on the future funding for this role itself, and how to fund wider Seed activity beyond that. We need to implement our plan for funding Seed over the next 12-18 months, building on our community foundations towards increased delivery in 2020.
We’re ideally looking for someone interested in coming with us for the whole of this journey, but are also interested to hear from freelancers with a shorter term window of availability.
In the long term this is a great opportunity to be part of ensuring the sustainability of a popular and important community arts provision in Greater Manchester, or to grow into a practical, hands-on role in the community. In the short term it can provide an excellent opportunity for nurturing your development skills or gaining CV boosting experience.
