The Lowry is an internationally acclaimed visual and performing arts centre situated at the heart of MediaCityUK, one of the world’s most exciting culture and media destinations.
We are looking for Casual Event Coordinators to work on ‘Lightwaves 2015’, which is a winter artwork installation, running from 11 December 2015 to 27 December 2015. As a Casual Event Steward you will be based outdoors working at The Lowry Plaza and MediaCityUK Piazza space. You will provide marshalling services to support and enhance the public experience, operational, delivery, efficiency and effectiveness of the winter artwork installation of the Quays Culture programme, directly supporting the team.
The role will require you to act as an ambassador for Quays Culture. You will be required to communicate well with the general public, handle queries and provide information and customer service in a welcoming manner, marshal the event and ensure the safety of the public.
The successful candidate will have previous Event Coordination experience, good communication skills, experience of providing customer service of a positive and welcoming nature and a positive and adaptable approach to problem solving. An interest in the arts is essential.
