If you are excited by the thought of installing key exhibitions and displays at one of the UK’s largest galleries of modern and contemporary art, then this is the perfect opportunity for you. Working with the Exhibitions and Displays team on time-based media artworks at Tate Liverpool, we’re looking to recruit Audio Visual Technicians to join our team of skilled casuals.
In addition to installing time based media, you will be working with curators, artists and our exhibition-delivery team to provide a wide range of services such as audio visual support, handling artwork, maintaining exhibitions and other technical services. You will also be required to complete appropriate documentation when packing and moving art.
Confident working to tight deadlines, you will need to hit the ground running, so we need someone with solid experience of installing audio-visual equipment. A great team player who is happy to work without supervision, you will need to be able to commit to working for a minimum of five days at a time (with advance notice). With excellent communication skills and a diplomatic touch, you’ll be keen to gain new experience. A professional skill such as City and Guilds or BTEC, and experience of using access and lifting equipment such as mobile elevating platforms and manual stackers would be an added bonus.
