Do you have experience of leadership in a complex, customer-facing organisation? Have you led multi-disciplinary teams, managing costs whilst supporting growth?
We are looking for a dynamic, innovative and energetic leader who will drive the continued improvement of the museum’s daily operations, leading and developing our ambition to exceed the experience of over 3 million visitors each year. As Assistant Director and Head of Operations, you will be accountable for our operations and make a critical contribution to the ongoing success of the work the Operations department undertakes all year round. You’ll also deputise for the Museum Director; supporting the senior management team with the strategic development of the Museum site and services.
You will lead colleagues across multiple departments, and oversee the success of our contract servicers and commercial partnerships. You will be a critical interface between the demanding, practical and financial needs of a large visitor attraction and the creative drive and ambition of a major cultural institution.
As a member of the senior leadership team you will make a significant contribution to the achievement of our ambitious plans. This is an important, demanding and rewarding role. You will be a strong leader, with outstanding interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills. You will bring people together to deliver outstanding results.
As well as leadership experience in a customer-facing organisation, you will have developed diverse teams to deliver outstanding customer service and continual improvement. You will be able to inspire and motivate colleagues, showing excellent stakeholder management in addition to commercial acumen.
