Arts Emergency – Merseyside Project Coordinator

Arts Emergency is a charity and national support network for young people who don’t have influential contacts of their own. Arts Emergency engages a network of over 7,000 volunteers and supporters, professionals in the cultural and creative industries; from humanities professors to dancers, from journalists and best-selling authors to indie musicians and theatre makers. This network offers 16-25 year olds from less-privileged backgrounds the work experience, mentoring, support, knowledge and real world connections they need to make the right choices for them in higher education, and break through into a related career.

MERSEYSIDE PROJECT COORDINATOR

We are looking for a proactive and committed Project Coordinator to help us launch and run our award winning mentoring scheme in Merseyside.

As Project Coordinator your work will be at the heart of what we do; supporting local young people to access higher education and careers in the creative industries. You will be responsible for building and developing the mentoring programme in your local area. This will include recruiting, matching and supporting new mentor pairs throughout 2020/21. It’s a busy, fun and rewarding role where you’ll work closely with our Programme Team Coordinator in Manchester and the wider Arts Emergency team around the country.

Contract: 90 days of work (average of two days a week) over the course of one year with potential to extend. Flexible working welcomed.
Daily Rate: £100 a day.
There may occasionally be evening/weekend work.
