We currently have the post(s) of Accountant (Training Role) available.

Led by the Head of Finance, NML’s Finance team is responsible to the Executive Director of Business Resources for the fiscal management of NML, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. We are also responsible for ensuring that the organisation complies with financial regulations and laws.


This role will be funded to study and achieve a professional Accountancy qualification (CIMA or CIPFA) through an Apprenticeship route following satisfactory completion of their probationary period. The qualification (which is equivalent to a bachelors’ degree) will be supported by on and off the job learning and development and practical experience gained from within the role.


Career and salary progression will be reviewed upon the candidate successfully completing each level of the qualification; and their demonstrating proficiency in meeting the role requirements as detailed within this job description. In applying for this role, the candidate agrees to adhering to the training objectives of the Apprenticeship scheme and commitment to becoming fully qualified within 5 years, unless otherwise agreed with the Head of Finance.


Through a blend of job experience and professional training and studies it is expected that that by the time the candidate has attained their professional accountancy qualification, they will be at the level of fulfilling responsibilities of a Finance Business Partner.
