STEM Ambassador Hub Manager, Science Museum Group

Are you passionate about the STEM agenda? Can you build meaningful and productive relationships?

The Science Museum Group is passionate about growing science capital through informal, science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) focussed learning. Linking to this priority, we currently hold the contract for the TransPennine STEM Ambassador Hub via STEM Learning.

As a STEM Ambassador Hub Manager, you will oversee the operation of the STEM Ambassador programme across the Manchester region. You will focus on building relationships with schools, organisations and employers in the local area, promoting STEM and Museum programmes and managing a large team of active volunteers.

In this role, you’ll be based at the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester, but in order to build effective relationships, there will be a degree of travel within the role, across the Greater Manchester region.

You’ll need to be an excellent communicator with an understanding of how to direct and motivate people. You’ll ideally have a background in a learning environment, with a good understanding of the STEM agenda. This is a role where you can really have an impact in growing Science capital in the area.

You will be offered excellent benefits, including 27 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays, a contributory pension scheme, BUPA medical and dental care, an annual season ticket loan and numerous staff discounts whilst developing your career in a world class museum group.
