On 7th February 2020, Laura Brownhill and Mellowtone transformed Sefton Park Palm House into a one night only surreal masquerade ball inspired by the global celebration of Mardi Gras.
Today, actual Mardi Gras (or pancake day), we asked the organisers to send over some images to celebrate and look back. We didn’t expect this many… but. Each and every one is taken by the people who turned up to celebrate. whether this serves as an album for them to look back on, or an archive for everybody else, it’s a nice way to commemorate one of the weirdest things that’s ever happened in the palm house.
