Warrington Museum & Art Gallery Call for artists
As part of Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival, Warrington Museum & Art Gallery invite proposals from emerging and established regional artists whose work demonstrates a strong track-record of public engagement, interactivity + contemporary practice. Proposals will need to factor in outreach and engagement strategies to demonstrate how their work will engage with one of Warrington’s neighbourhoods.
The theme of this edition of WCAF is ‘The History of the Future’.
Exhibition proposals: We will commission an artist or artists’ group to deliver an exhibition at Warrington Museum & Art Gallery: 12 May – 15 September 2018. Proposals must challenge the notions of traditional forms of collecting, archiving + presenting work. To see more details, visit:
Digital installation proposals: An artist or artists’ group will be commissioned to create a new digital work to be displayed in an empty retail unit in Warrington Town centre, attracting significant footfall. The unit will not be invigilated, and it is anticipated that the work will be back projected onto the shop window, to be viewed from outside the unit. A screen and projector will be provided by WCAF.
