Treasurer trustee, Liverpool Irish Festival

Treasurer trustee, Liverpool Irish Festival

The Liverpool Irish Festival (LIF) delivers a diverse, high quality and often ground breaking arts, music and culture programme each October.

The Festival’s treasurer is retiring and we are looking for someone to replace her, to put their finance skills to good use and become a charity trustee. The treasurer will monitor, review and report on the financial aspects of the Festival and ensure its sustainability. You will work with the Festival Director and our auditors to ensure that the Festival’s financial affairs  are legal, constitutional, and within accepted accounting practice.

The Trustee role is unpaid and requires a time commitment of, on average, half a day per month. This includes attendance at the Board and sub-committee meetings and Board development and strategic planning events. The meetings generally take place in the early evening and the treasurer’s role is busiest from August to December.

The Festival’s aim is to develop a more diverse Board, so applications are welcomed from all sections of the community and particularly encouraged from women and young people, who are currently under-represented on the Board.

For information about the role and our organisation please visit https://www.dropbox.com/sh/lyggavkblr7sfx9/AABXXNMAryMQQHYRRvWMBY3Ia?dl=0 .

Applications can be made by submission of your CV and a one-page letter describing how you meet the criteria. Please email these to mail to: chair@liverpoolirishfestival.com by 28th July 2017.  Interviews will take place by arrangement with shortlisted applicants in early August 2017.
