Submissions Open for Chorlton Arts Festival 2016

Deadline: 5pm on Monday 4 January 2016.

Chorlton Arts Festival is one of the leading multi-arts events in the region, bringing together a programme of international, national and local artists for ten days of energy and excitement.

The dates for the next Chorlton Arts Festival are 20 – 29 May 2016.

TAKE PART – SUBMIT YOUR IDEA:
Chorlton Arts Festival is on the look out for brand new performances in music, comedy, cabaret, poetry and special events, as well as exhibitions and artworks in unexpected places. The festival is committed to developing and showcasing talent in a range of venues across Chorlton throughout the 10 days of the festival. If you would like to submit your idea for consideration, please complete the relevant form below.

The deadline for all applications is 5pm on Monday 4th January 2016. We will be in touch with all applicants by the middle of February.

SUBMISSIONS PROCESS
There are two forms to choose from, depending on which category fits your proposal:

FORM 1 – MUSIC AND COMEDY
Music: We are looking for all types of music from indie to jazz, folk to classical. Whether you are a solo artist, experimental musician, a band, community group or established performer, we want to hear from you.

Comedy: Stand-up comedy is a major part of the Chortlon Arts Festival, showcasing performances from established stand ups and emerging new comedians.

FORM 2 – ARTS
Art exhibitions: If you are an artist with work you’d like to exhibit as part of the festival or have a unique idea for displaying your work

Performance: We will consider all types of theatre, drama and cabaret.

Spoken word and poetry: We are interested in all types of events, from poetry evenings to smaller, low-key readings in bars and cafes.

Dance: From contemporary to traditional the festival encourages applications from all dance disciplines.

Workshops: We are looking for performers to lead workshops for schools and community groups.

Unique events: Whether it’s performing in a laundrette, art by flashmob or digital work, we want to hear from you.
