Studio space available in unique venue in Port Sunlight

Port Sunlight has been a source of inspiration and a home to many artists from a variety of disciplines for the last 130 years. William Lever, the founder of the village, was an avid collector of art and believed that it had the power to improve and enrich the lives of individuals and communities.

Bridge Cottage Community Hub, in the heart of Port Sunlight Village, is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an artist, designer or craftsperson to hire a studio space, within the cottage which was once the founder’s home.

This is a 6 month hire period which will also include three commissioned workshops. The rent is £35+VAT per week, which includes Wi-Fi and all utilities, with access Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm plus some weekends. The studio space would ideally suit a textile designer, artist or illustrator.

To apply, please send us your CV including two named referees, an overview of the type of work you create, an indication of the type of workshops you would run, and a short statement outlining why you would like to work in Bridge Cottage. For an informal chat and/or to arrange to view the studio space, contact Claire Bates, Community Engagement Officer, by email c.bates@portsunlightvillage.com or phone 0151 645 9070. More information about the Bridge Cottage Community Hub can be found on our website portsunlightresidents.com

Closing date:  Wednesday 26th September 5pm.
