Deadline for applications – Monday 16th November 2015
Warwick District Council & Leamington Town Council are seeking an experienced artist/sculptor to devise and produce a new piece of public art for Jephson Gardens, the historic pleasure gardens at the heart of Leamington Spa. The work should depict or take its inspiration from William Louis de Normanville (1843-1928), an engineer, surveyor and inventor known for his imaginative design & use of metal who lived in Leamington Spa for 35 years. The sculpture will form part of a developing sculpture trail within the Grade 2 listed historic gardens. The project team are looking for the sculpture to be made of recycled steel, to be in some way interactive, to be very robust and to appeal to children.
