Deadline: 11am Friday 4 September 2015
They Eat Culture and Fuel seek proposals for Preston Platforms
Deadline – Thursday 4th September at 11am.
They Eat Culture and Fuel are calling for expressions of interest from artists based in Preston for Preston Platforms, part of Fuel’s New Theatre in Your Neighbourhood project. Artists working in contemporary performance are invited to submit proposals for new ideas to be presented as a five to ten minute work in progress showing on 15th and 21st October in the theatre space of The Continental, Preston before a performance of Andy Smith’s The Preston Bill. Because of this, your proposal and work should have very simple technical requirements.
Proposals should respond to the themes of Andy Smith’s The Preston Bill:
The Preston Bill is a new solo performance. A new piece of writing. A socio-political history play. It tells the story of a working class life in the North-west of England.
The successful artist/company will receive between £500 and £1000 towards creating and presenting a scratch performance up to 10 minutes long on 15th and 21st October prior to Andy Smith’s The Preston Bill. You will also be offered rehearsal space, technical support and mentoring from They Eat Culture, Fuel and Andy Smith.
