Picton Play Residencies: Open Call
As part of Picton Play, a long term-experimental project designed to explore the creativity of our neighbourhood, we are hosting a number of artist ‘listening’ residencies in unusual spaces designed to facilitate sharing, research and exchanging knowledge in our local area.
- We are offering 2 artist residency opportunities for artists working in any art form, who live and/or work in the Liverpool City Region or have a strong connection to the city. Successful artists will work with our team in a location-specific residency in either Wavertree Botanic Park and Garden working with Friends of Botanic Park, or on the 86 bus route in partnership with Arriva.
- These 3-month residencies will enable artists to research and develop new ideas and create work inspired by these spaces, working in collaboration with participants. Each successful applicant will receive a £2500 fee, alongside the use of Metal facilities, resources and staff time.
- Artists are welcome to apply for both of our residency opportunities using the same application form. We have included a question on the form to clarify if you are applying for a single location or both residency opportunities.
The closing date for both residency applications is Monday 9 October at 5pm.
