Open call for mural artists
We are looking to commission an iconic work on the front elevation of Northern Lights on Mann Street in Cain’s Brewery Village at the southern most end of Liverpool’s pioneering Baltic Triangle area.
The building has a very distinctive roofline with light pouring in from northern facing panes. It was part of Cain’s Brewery and functioned as storage and bottling in the past. Now it provides studio, office and workshop spaces for designers, painters, sculptors, writers, filmmakers, tattooists, martial artists, musicians, producers, and much more. There is also the name, Northern Lights, to take inspiration from.
We would like to see a range of proposals and quotations from muralists representing the full gamut of styles and techniques. Northern Lights encompasses 1, 3, 5, 7 & 9 Mann Street with our main entrance at number 5. We strongly encourage visiting the site in person before submitting your proposal. We would also advise finding out more about Northern Lights’ background and future ambitions:

In addition to the permanent piece, we also have an opportunity for a temporary, successive mural installation in our car park. These works will be impermanent and curated as exhibition pieces one after the other until the boundary wall is permanently replaced.
Please send your ideas and proposals together with quotations for the work to Mia at info@northernlightsliverpool.com with “Mural” in the subject field.
