London Contemporary Art Prize 2019

The London Contemporary Art Prize aims to reveal and promote artists who have yet to establish a profile on the contemporary London art scene. The LCA Prize is looking for artists working in: drawing, painting, printing, photography, digital art, sculpture and video.

The entry fee is £20 for up to five artworks.

The first prize is a £1000 and 12 months representation with LCA gallery.
An exhibition of the 19 finalists will be held in September 2019.

THE JUDGING PANEL
The judges will be looking for artists who demonstrate the very best in creative process and or craftsmanship and technique.

All works will be judged anonymously. The LCA prize has a zero-tolerance to discrimination policy and artworks will be judged independently from parameters such as the gender orientation, nationality, race, religion, age etc. of the artist.

THE SELECTION PROCESS
The panel of judges will initially review all entries from the digital submission process.

They will then select 19 artists to display at the finalists exhibition at the gallery. The first prize will be judged from the physical works once the exhibition has been displayed in the gallery.

THE EXHIBITION
The 19 finalists will be exhibited at The LCA Gallery, 32 Store Street in September 2019. Works will be available for sale during the exhibition with the gallery taking a 50% inc. V.A.T commission of the wall price.
