Liverpool Pride Trustee, Liverpool Pride

Liverpool Pride is an entirely volunteer-led charity seeking to combat homophobia and trans*phobia across the Liverpool City Region and beyond. We produce a major festival that takes over the streets of Liverpool each year as well as other activities all year round that focus on particpation and inclusion.

We are looking for new members of our Board of Trustees to help us continue to develop our vision of a fully active, diverse and inclusive Pride. This is an exciting time for our charity, with our first Arts Council funded projects underway and a brand new format for our annual festival this year.

If you have skills and experience in any of the following areas :

· finance

· event management

· funding bid-writing

· marketing and PR

· business development

· legal and contractual

· community liaison

and have a passion for promoting human rights, we want to hear from you.

Our Board of Trustees is engaged actively in the organisation of our Festival and Events, and new Trustees should be ready to take a pro-active role. We welcome applicants regardless of gender, sexuality, ethnicity or disability.

Board membership is unremunerated, and Trustees cannot gain financially from their involvement in Liverpool Pride.

We are holding an introductory session with a chance to meet our current Trustees on Sunday 17 July, in Liverpool from 12.30 onwards, but are also able to meet prospective Trustees at other times as arranged at your convenience.

Contact us via joan.burnett@liverpoolpride.co.uk or via our website http://liverpoolpride.co.uk/support-pride/volunteer/ stating that you are interested in becoming a Trustee.
