Blackpool Museum Project is seeking practitioners/company to deliver a drop‐in Gif‐making workshop at the Winter Gardens Film Festival. Using black and white images from Blackpool’s significant collections as a starting point, you will be supporting people to have fun manipulating and editing the images into a Gif.
Once the participants have created their Gifs, they will be uploaded to a screen and visible to the public at the event. They will also be shared on various social media platforms. We would like the workshop to be accessible, playful and light‐hearted. We would like to encourage the incorporation of colour, animated overlays, words and drawings.
Blackpool Museum Project is providing this workshop as our contribution to the Winter Gardens Film Festival. The workshop will take place on Sat 16 March 2019, times tbc. The event is open to public but this day will have a particular focus on film education, so there could be schools and colleges attending. Event address: Winter Gardens, 97 Church Street, Blackpool, FY1 1HL
