FACT – Open call for artists: Resolution

OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS: RESOLUTION

We are seeking to commission an artist, art collective, or design studio with experience of designing participatory learning experiences to create and produce a Knowledge Library – the first commissioned artwork, as part of Resolution, a 3-year art programme within the Criminal Justice System (CJS), in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University, HMP Altcourse and HMP Liverpool.

Through deep engagement between artists and participants we produce artistic commissions that explore identity and the notion of contemporary citizenship. Art is presented as a platform for voices that are rarely heard to explore their status in society.

The artworks produced through this process are shared with diverse audiences to encourage conversations and understanding of the Criminal Justice System in collaboration with Criminology researchers.

Resolution emerges from Veterans in Practice, FACT’s long-term creative programme for military veterans and continues to develop the partnership with Reimagining Conflict: Pedagogy, Policy and Arts Group, Liverpool John Moores University.

If you any any access requirements, any questions arise whilst developing your proposal or you would like more information about the programme you are encouraged to contact, Jenny Watts, Learning Project Assistant (FACT) before the submission deadline:jenny.watts@fact.co.uk / 0151 707 4444

Resolution is developed by FACT in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University, HMP Liverpool and HMP Altcourse and is supported by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation.

FACT is supported using public funding by Arts Council England and Liverpool City Council.
