Win £200! Calling all creative folk aged 14—25 living in Liverpool Share your creative flair! In a new project from Liverpool City Council, COoL and Open Culture, young people are invited to design a new face covering. The four chosen winners will win £200 and have their designs turned into real wearable works of art and given out in their hundreds. We want you to express yourself! The brief is open to your interpretation, use as many colours or techniques as you like. You can create your design on a computer or you can put pen, pencil or paint to paper! Who can take part? The Judges — Kiara Mohammed a multidisciplinary Muslim trans, gender-fluid artist based in Liverpool. She works with photography, filmmaking, and poetry, addressing the intersections of race, gender, sexuality and self-care in relation to forms of community and social responsibility. — TEE an artist blurring the lines between spoken word and rap, fusing an eclectic mix of sounds including gospel, hip-hop and R&B. His intricate vocal rhythms, ‘sounds-like-home’ melodies and hard-hitting beats create a sound that feels both familiar and new. — Liverpool City Council (Public Health) — Open Culture a social enterprise which aims to increase the profile of, and engagement with the arts in Liverpool. Working across multiple art forms we nurture artists and audiences through a variety of projects and events; connecting artists and audiences to make people happier.
