Exhibition Opportunity
104 Duke Street, an artist-led studio in Liverpool City centre are looking for submissions from artists, performers and creative types in response to the theme The Dark Side of LightNight; exploring the shadowed side of the human mind, emotion and nature.
It is an opportunity to exhibit during the city’s annual art event LightNight, with the exhibition continuing until the 15th May, 2016 times tbc.
We are looking for works that explores the mental and emotion landscape of the human experience. We encourage submissions from artists working in 2d mediums, projections and performance but unfortunately no 3d work, due to the nature of the space. It offers a platform for works which are raw, experimental or have yet been exhibited or have had an audience.
One work per person.
There is a size limit of no more than 1 metre each side.

Word document with:
- A description of the work you would like to submit/purpose and how it fits the theme. (250 words max)
- Title, medium, dimensions of work (1 meter by 1 meter limit)/running time of work submitted.
- Links to website/social media etc.
- Details about hanging, we ask for mirror plates to be attached to work but if another method is required for hanging please give details.
2D works
A high quality jpeg image (mini 150 dpi).
Projects/performance
video or links to video/website/show reel of purposed or previous works.
Deadline for Submissions: Midnight March 31st, 2016.
Successful applicants will be notified by the Monday 11th of April.
There will be no commission taken for sales, however we ask each participating artist for a hanging fee of £5 towards the cost of the exhibition. This will be paid in cash when you deliver your work.
