Deadline: midday on Wednesday 10 February 2016.
Artist / Director Lucy Beech is looking for female performers to play a role in her latest film. Commissioned by Liverpool Biennial, the film will be exhibited in the city throughout the 2016 Biennial (9 July – 16 October).
Shot on location in Liverpool, the film blurs the line between documentary and fiction. Focusing on the rise of female door supervisors, security guards and bouncers, the film uses the industry of conflict management as its backdrop. It explores the interpersonal group dynamics of a community of women, in order to explore ideas of public intimacy and competitive vulnerability.
Production will take place between 29 March – 8 April (5 days shoot spread across this period). A number of rehearsals will be scheduled in the lead up to the shoot in early March. Please only apply if you are available over this period. Candidates will preferably be based in the Liverpool area. Please note that all roles will be paid.
