Call for artists
Rimrose Valley Environmental Art Exhibition
Hosted by Rimrose Valley Friends and Sefton Council Rangers
Independents Biennial, 2018
We are seeking innovative artists to create site specific environmental art with eco friendly materials at Rimrose Valley, a much loved and valued green country park based in Sefton, Merseyside.
https://www.sefton.gov.uk/
The valley is opening itself up as a creative canvas. We want to draw attention to environmental issues and pollution, particularly as this beautiful green space is under threat of being taken away and replaced by a dual carriageway.
Are you up for a challenge? Do you have an idea or something you can create at Rimrose Valley? If you do, or you would like to create artwork or provide a workshop in the valley, we at Rimrose Valley Friends would love to hear from you.
Please feel free to visit and see this wonderful space that is under threat and used by the community far and wide. Think about how this motorway will increase pollution and the affect it will have on wellbeing and our physical health. We want to draw awareness to environmental issues and pollution in our society as a whole. Can you help us make this statement?
The Valley and Art exhibition will be part of this year’s Independents Biennial, 2018’s Liverpool Biennial fringe, hosted by Art in Liverpool, taking place between 14 July – 28 October and celebrates 20 years of presenting international art in the city. The exhibition will run from 14/07/18 to 29/10/18
