Call for applications: Civic Artistic Residency Programme – CARP 16

Deadline: 1.00pm on Monday 15 February 2016.

Civic Artistic Residency Programme – CARP.
For artists based in the North of England. CARP is a flexible programme aiming to support artists in the process of creating work, developing and experimenting with new ideas in a creative and supportive arts environment.

The aims of CARP are to:

– Offer a safe and supportive environment for artists to play, explore, take risks and develop work
– Actively support artists to realise their artistic ideas
– Further develop the Civics’ reputation as a progressive, forward thinking venue that is passionate about artistic development and is a creative hub for developing work and engaging with new audiences.
– Support artists from and working in the North of England

Summer 2016 The Civic, Barnsley will be once again opening up its doors to Northern artists from any performance discipline, at any stage of their career. We are looking to support up to 4 artists or companies, will be offering a minimum of 2 weeks of rehearsal space and have a budget available of up to £1250 to support bursaries for the CARP programme.

Completed applications should be received by 1.00pm on Monday 15 February 2016.
Shortlisted artists will be informed by Wednesday 24 February 2016.
