CALL OUT FOR CREATIVE PRACTITIONERS
WREXHAM CLUSTER SCHOOLS
Can engagement with digital technology enhance children’s creative learning skills and accelerate progress in the four mathematical procedures?
We are seeking an inspiring Creative Practitioner(s) to work closely with our Teachers to help learners engage enthusiastically + creatively with existing numeracy learning, using digital technology, coding, film + animation. Central to our project is the voice of the learners, and you need to be skilled at facilitating their ideas + input. The project must be sustainable, and use School resources + equipment as much as possible. You do not need to be a mathematician. We are a cluster of 3 small rural schools E/SE of Wrexham, and the successful Creative Practitioner(s) will work with children from years 1 – 6. The project starts January 2018 and will run for the duration of the Spring Term.
The Creative Practitioner will be paid a daily rate of £250 plus reasonable travel expenses.
We are able to offer up to 21 days paid project days, plus 1 planning and 1 evaluation day.
There is a budget for project resources.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to meet the Learners + Teachers and give a short presentation to illuminate their practice, + answer any questions the children have. The successful applicant(s) is required to attend a free practical, inspiring + mandatory (unpaid) Arts Council of Wales training program at Venue Cymru, Llandudno, on 21/22 November or 23/24 November. You will need a current DBS check + Public Liability Insurance.
