Artist Call – Workshops for Children & Families | The Kitchen | Oriel Davies
Deadline: Sunday 10 September 2017
Oriel Davies is seeking creative practitioners with a background in participatory practice to deliver a programme of workshops for children and families in Oriel Davies’ pop-up project and event spaceThe Kitchen- open to visitors from 07 October 2017 to 27 January 2018.
We are looking for up to 6 artists to run workshops and activities that take inspiration from The Kitchen, both the project space and all things relating to the domestic setting. In addition, there are four Big Draw workshops, which should be based on the 2017 festival theme – Living Lines.
Building on the achievements of The Drawing Room in year one, The Kitchen is the next edition of Open Space, a two-year pilot project that runs alongside, and in addition to, the Gallery’s existing exhibition and learning programmes. Open Space is funded by the Arts Council of Wales and Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.
Open to artists based in Wales and the Border counties.
Fees
A nominal fee of £100 is available for each workshop. A limited budget is also available for materials and a maximum of £50 per workshop for travel expenses.
