Artist’s call out
From September to November 2017 arts and health organisation, Arc, present an exhibition of hand-crafted embroideries from women in Bengal – an exhibition called Indian Summer.
To coincide with this we are seeking an artist to lead a socially engaged arts project (in any art form), around the theme of Identity, enabling women from different communities + locations to connect + collaborate, to share their experiences + stories. The artist will lead participatory sessions with women’s groups, liaise with a women’s group in Kolkata and then incorporate their artwork in to an exhibition at Arc’s Gallery in Stockport.
Fee: £1,750 plus additional materials budget of up to £500
