Africa Oyé 2016
Sefton Park, Liverpool
Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th June 2016
12:30pm – 9:30pm both days / Admission: FREE
Would you like to be an Oyé Rep?
Each year, Africa Oyé has to work hard to keep the festival free which, with an ever-growing event, is becoming increasingly difficult.
This is why we need you!
Becoming an Oyé Rep gives you the opportunity to work with us in keeping the festival free, providing positive relations with our audiences and helping to raise money.
The role as an Oyé Rep is to raise money by collecting donations, selling raffle tickets and handing out information about the festival, all the while engaging with our fantastic audience.
We are asking for 2 hours of your time (or more if you would like) at the festival on Saturday 18th or Sunday 19th June 2016. You will receive a t-shirt, refreshments and be helping the festival to remain free of charge, whilst learning new skills and meeting new people.
About Africa Oyé
Africa Oyé is a registered charity which provides a free, 2-day music festival annually in Liverpool.
We are the UK’s largest celebration of African and Caribbean music and culture and have been described as having ‘the most vibrant atmosphere amongst the best festival audience in the world!’
What are we looking for?
Confidence, personality and enthusiasm. Our volunteers need to be outgoing and motivational, displaying presence and perseverance.
Practical Considerations
To become an Oyé Rep the only thing we ask is that you are over the age of 18, have a love for the festival (or would like to learn more about it) and help us in our mission to keep the festival free for all for years to come.
You will need to have transport to and from the festival site but there are plenty of public transport options and it is a beautiful cycling/walking location.
If you think this opportunity is for you, please email your CV or expressions of interest to abbey@onefellswoop.co.uk or abbey@africaoye.com.
Africa Oyé will take place on 18th and 19th June in Sefton Park, from 12:30pm until 9:30pm both days. Entrance is FREE for all. For more information, please visit africaoye.com
