From Culturepool / Scouse Soul Stew…

Scouse Soul Stew – Wednesday 29th July, 6pm – The Picturedrome (Wetherspoons) pub, 286 Kensington, L7 2RL

Just as with food, everyone has a recipe for life with their own variations on the ingredients, and Scouse Soul Stew wants to know yours…

We’ll be meeting in the garden of the lovely Picturedrome-Wetherspoons pub in Kensington (see map), which is housed in one of Liverpool’s first purpose built cinemas, for some delicious freshly cooked food. We’ll then head back inside for some refreshments and to chat about your own Scouse Soul Stew. All this will be helped along with by local artist SketchyBeast who will be illustrating everyone’s own recipe for life…

All contributions from the discussions will feed into a larger piece of artwork, and there may also be a chance to get involved.

The event is FREE (food and soft drinks provided), just turn and join in

  1. Dear Art in Liverpool,

I am writing to you on behalf of the Poetry Society; we are attempting to spread awareness of the young poet poetry competition Young Foyle Poets of the year, the UK’s foremost young poets competition with 12,000 entries coming from around the world. With the competition closing date on 31st July, we were wondering if you could post a blog message reminding young readers that there are still a few days left in which to prepare an entry? Entrants can enter online, for free. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated!

    Best Wishes

    Jack Snoddy
