Nice Boat – Shame About the Weather

The Queen Elizabeth II berthed at Liverpool. September 21 2007

Ok then, ship, what’s the difference? And I refuse to use the feminine pronoun when referring to an inanimate object.

Anyway its great to see the huge cruise liners back on the waterfront at the nice new landing stage on Princes Dock. Hundreds of people there trying to get a decent photo through the rain and mass of umbrellas.
We got thoroughly soaked, having walked down to the Maritime Museum in the pouring rain then over to Princes Dock – have to take the long route because of the Pier Head building works. But by the time we’d had a splendid lunch in the nearby Malmaison hotel the weather had improved and even more sightseers were arriving.
