Another date for your diary…

This annual extravaganza is in its 34th year and attracts thousands of visitors. It is the first major event that the new Lord Mayor takes part in and is a great opportunity for her to see first-hand how Liverpool can put on a great show.

Spectators can look forward to a visual extravaganza of colour and creativity at this year’s event. Floats will follow the theme of ‘performance’ to tie in with Liverpool’s fourth themed year in the run-up to European Capital of Culture 2008. The event, which starts at 1pm, is also set to be the greenest parade on record – rickshaws and a horse-drawn dray will take their place alongside pedal-powered floats, an electric vehicle and hundreds of costumed performers on foot.

  1. wonderful day- a pity we couldn’t all end the day together instead of down a dusty street in the back of beyond? we thought it might have been nice to end a busy and exhausting day together where we could have chatted and enjoyed the company of other parage participants- maybe at the grassy area at the pier head? we didnt get the chance to see or speak to many other of the parade members……i hope we can see you all again next year
