The new series of the excellent ‘In Conversation’ series run by Club Geek Chic kicked off at Liverpool Cathedral on Thursday evening with radio presenter Janice Long talking to Dave Monks of Radio Merseyside.
During the evening we heard Janice’s interesting life story in radio and TV with musical interludes from Ian McNabb, China Crisis, Ragz and Ian Prowse. There was a Q and A at the end too.
A relaxing and entertaining evening, we look forward to the next in the series which features Mike McCartney on Friday April 23rd.
Mike will talk about his brief stint as a ladies hairdresser, his time as ‘Mike McGear’ in The Scaffold and the whole Merseybeat era with John Gorman and Roger McGough and his photography, from snapping Little Richard’s back in the Cavern to The Beatles on tour to his amazing, spontaneous backstage shots at Live8 in 2005.
