News from The World of Glass
Free heritage tour
Ever wondered what life was like in St Helens in Victorian times?
You can find out this weekend (September 8/9 2007) when The World of Glass offers a free tour of its fascinating Earth into Light galleries led by a guide in period costume.
Visitors can then go on to enjoy all the rest of The World of Glass attractions for just 50% of the normal admission prices.
The Earth into Light galleries recreate the life and times of a typical industrial town during the nineteenth century.
The event is part of the nationwide Heritage Open Days activity – a once-a-year opportunity to celebrate England’s remarkable architecture and culture.
The free guided tours will take place on Saturday and Sunday at 11.00 a.m. and 2.30 p.m.
