Black History Month 2010

October is Black History Month in the UK. This annual national celebration aims to spread awareness of and pride in Black contributions to British society, and to foster an understanding of Black history in general.

Black History Month at Writing on the Wall

In celebration of Black History Month WoW is inviting you to share with the City your favourite novel by a Black author. The top ten novels will be promoted throughout October. More information click here.

The Little Black Book Club

One of the top ten nominated novels will be chosen for reading and discussion at The Little Black Book Club which will run throughout October in partnership with the Kuumba Imani Millennium Centre. The book club is free and open to young people and adults. Find out more and join us here
