The highly acclaimed exhibition by Liverpool born artist Anthony Brown has toured the most majestic buildings in the city since being launched in January 2007. These include St George’s Hall, The Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ The King, The Maritime Museum, The Anglican Cathedral, The Daily Post & Echo Buildings, The Town Hall, The Williamson Art Gallery and the Palm House, Sefton Park. It has captured the attention of over 700,000 viewers throughout its tour and multi award winning writer Jimmy McGovern cited the exhibition as ‘the highlight of our culture year’.
Now the stunning array of portraits will be displayed for its closing months within the interior of the store, with a special exhibition being displayed in and around the restaurant area on the 2nd floor. Visitors to the store will enjoy a selection of portraits prior to the concluding unseen works being unveiled & exhibited next year with the first exhibition at the Williamson Art Gallery from the 10th January 09.
