Summer Pops Starts Today and I have not got a ticket for any of the concerts. That’s mainly because I didn’t fancy any of them. Maybe many, many years ago I might have gone to see The Who or New Order or even Pet Shop Boys but not now. I know these gigs are popular but to me its all so old and tired.
What with this and the Beatles / Mathew Street Festival being the public face of the Liverpool Music Scene it just gives an image of us all living in the past.
Please can we have a major music festival featuring new (or at least current) bands?
So the pops kicks off with Jools Holland tonight to be followed by Australian Pink Floyd Show then Oscar Peterson
