Exhibitions

Pre-Raphaelite Drawings
10 February to 14 May 2006
An exhibition of National Museum Liverpool’s collection of Pre-Raphaelite drawings, including work by Dante Gabriel Rossetti, William Holman Hunt, Ford Madox Brown, John Everett Millais and Edward Coley Burne-Jones.
Some of these images are studies for famous paintings, while others are preparatory designs for other media, such as Burne-Jones’ Dies Domini, a study for a stained glass window. The exhibition is a chance to sample the artists’ outstanding drawing and design skills as well as a unique insight into their methods of working.

A touring exhibition of photographs by Norman Parkinson from the National Portrait Gallery. Parkinson worked for the British edition of Harper's Bazaar and throughout his long career he contributed to many publications, including Vogue, Queen, and Town and Country. His work became famous for the liveliness, spontaneity and humour of his images, as well as for the creative use of his outdoor locations.
