Deadline: Sunday 24 April 2016 at 23:59.

Salary: £25,000 per annum
Location: Museum of Science and Industry-Manchester
Job Type: Full Time – Permanent
Hours: 36.25

Are you a talented, highly-organised project coordinator? Do you believe in the power of design to shape our experiences and how we engage with our surroundings? We have an exciting and unique opportunity to play a key part in the delivery of major projects that will shape the Museum of Science and Industry for years to come.

Our Masterplan is an ambitious programme of capital projects, which put our collections at the heart of everything we do and will transform the museum, its buildings and the way our visitors experience the Museum’s collection, galleries and facilities.

We are recruiting a Masterplan Coordinator to join our Exhibitions and Masterplan Team and who will be instrumental in the effective delivery of the MSI Masterplan. 2018 will see the delivery of our first two major projects – a new Special Exhibition Gallery, which will create a new facility for special exhibitions in three grade 1 listed buildings right at the heart of the museum’s historic site, and Cottonopolis – our first in a series of four major collections based galleries. Our programme of projects is ambitious – so alongside this we are initiating further gallery collection based and interactive gallery projects, involving feasibility studies, fundraising and project initiation.

With experience of project work, administration and working with a range of stakeholders you will play a crucial role in the smooth running of the Masterplan team as well as the delivery of the MSI Masterplan.

We require that you have excellent communication and coordination skills, a strong design eye and the ability to interrogate complex information. You will be capable of proactively contributing to the team, and ensuring that all work is produced to tight deadlines.

Your role will support the success of these prestigious projects, helping to build the Museum’s reputation for excellence through supporting the delivery of high quality, masterplan projects.
