Liverpool School of Art & Design seeks to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to play a significant role in the delivery and development of teaching and research within the Graphic Design & Illustration undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes.
You will have the demonstrated ability to develop curriculum, plan and teach graphic design or illustration at university level. It is essential that candidates are able to evidence their scholarship with research outputs that will contribute to the intellectual life of the school and the school research profile. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with professional experience in traditional graphic arts.
BA Hons. Graphic Design & Illustration at Liverpool School of Art & Design is a diverse graphic arts and visual communication undergraduate programme. It has a tradition of delivering an interdisciplinary yet specialist curriculum. The programme is built upon a culture that encourages craft-based approaches to flourish side-by-side with the demands of emerging technology. Crossover between specialist areas is encouraged, as the course believes in a philosophy of artists and designers employing the media most suited to a particular task. An MA Graphic Design & Illustration has recently been established to build upon the success of the undergraduate programme.
