M6 Theatre Company is seeking an enthusiastic Workshop Assistant to support our 15-18’s Youth Theatre group.
M6 work with children and young people from Rochdale Borough to create theatre which is relevant, engaging, challenging and most importantly-fun! Not only do our participants develop their performance and theatre skills but also transferrable skills such as communication, problem solving and team work.
The main purpose of the role is to support the Drama Facilitator in workshops and rehearsals, including completing session reports and providing pastoral care for participants.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children&young people and an interest in creating theatre. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure DBS check. The cost will be covered by M6 Theatre.
The group meet during term time on Tuesday evenings at M6 Studio Theatre in Rochdale from 6:30pm–8:30pm, you will need to be available from 6pm–9pm to support pre and post workshop duties. The rate is £36 for the 3 hour session (£12 per hour). Please note there will be extra rehearsals required in March 2020 in the lead up to the performance.
This position is offered on a fixed term freelance basis until Tuesday 31st March 2020. Subject to funding and review there may be potential to recommence in September 2020.
