Minerva Arts runs four successful Youth Theatres in Cheshire West producing high quality contemporary Youth Theatre performances and developing young people’s confidence and self- esteem through drama and the arts.

We are looking for two new practitioners to join our ever expanding team!

Position One: We are looking for an exciting, enthusiastic and dynamic individual to lead our recently established Neston Youth Theatre. This group started in April 2015 and has a membership of 12 young people aged 14-19. The post holder will be expected to take over the design and delivery of weekly sessions for this group, plan the upcoming year of activity and engage with the local area to promote the group, recruit new members and look for partnership and fundraising opportunities.

Minerva Arts staff take up dual responsibility within the team so we are also hoping that this person has skills in photography and/or video to help us document our work.

Position Two: We are looking for a ‘relief’ Youth Theatre leader who is available to cover sessions for our two Chester groups, Malpas and Neston groups as and when needed. This person will be flexible, adaptable and with a wealth of experience to draw upon to ensure that young people are getting the best out of these sessions.

Essential skills and attributes for both posts:

*At least two years’ experience designing and leading drama activities with young people

*Positive outlook and approach

*Flexible and reliable

*Committed to helping develop a group in its early stages

*Good team player with ability to take initiative and work independently

*Excellent communication skills

*Full clean driving licence and access to car.

Desirable skills and attributes:

*Trained to deliver Arts Award at any level
