Job Title: Contact Young People’s Producer

Salary: £25,000 per annum pro rata (£20,000 actual salary per annum)

Hours: Part time 28 hours per week (0.8) (4 days must include Wednesday and Thursday)

Contract: Fixed term October 2020 to 31st July 2021

We are Contact.  Fiercely Northern but with an international outlook, we are a theatre and performing arts venue on Manchester’s Oxford Road.  We create and produce our own shows, host tours from some of the best theatre companies in the world and develop the next generation of artists, performers and community leaders.


We work locally, nationally and internationally to provide life-changing opportunities for new creatives to be the next leaders, artists and audiences, and put young people at the heart of everything we do.

This is an exciting fixed term role and you will be part of the Artistic Team, playing a key role in supporting the journey of young people from participation projects to commissioned artists.  We are looking for an enthusiastic person committed to supporting young people’s creative development.  The successful candidate will be mentored by the Head of Creative Development.

As a producer of the award-winning Contact Young Company you will produce and evaluate professional participatory performance projects designed for young people aged 13+.  You will work closely with leading artists and directors to develop and deliver innovative new work for audiences across Greater Manchester and beyond.
