West Cheshire Museums is an exciting 5-site service with unique collections and listed buildings which tell the stories of Cheshire. We are recruiting for staff to join the Chester Hub team to cover Grosvenor Museum and Chester History and Heritage. The Chester Hub includes Stretton Watermill, Nr Farndon. The museum teams work across the Chester and Northwich hubs to ensure visitors are inspired and enthused by their discoveries.
Grosvenor Museum houses unique and nationally significant collections including Roman tombstones, silver, art, natural history and a rolling programme of temporary exhibitions. Chester History and Heritage is a research centre holding family and local history resources, the photographic Image Bank, film and temporary exhibitions. Stretton Watermill is a 14th century working watermill which opens seasonally for flour milling tours and demonstrations. All three sites have an engaging approach to telling the stories associated with the collections, an imaginative activity programme and an evolving calendar of events and activities.
Museums and Visitor Assistants are the first point of contact for visitors and provide the welcome and customer care for visitors to Cheshire West Museums.
The duties include: customer care, reception, morning cleaning, retail, security, lecture and venue hire preparation and evening lecture duties.
