Technical Project Manager (Arts)
Manchester Met University are recruiting an Technical Project Manager (Arts) to work within Technical Services in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. This presents an exciting opportunity for a creative and artistic individual who is passionate about the arts. The successful applicant will provide operational-level technical co-ordination and management of a broad and varied portfolio of prestigious projects across the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, including the Art School end of year degree shows.
The Faculty is ambitious and forward looking with its ambition supported by a bold and creative estates strategy including two new build projects: The School of Digital Arts and a New Arts and Humanities Building.
The right person
You will be able to interpret and communicate complex requirements from a range of stakeholders including senior academic and management staff as well as students and external partners to deliver arts focused projects on time and within budget. The ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, being self-driven and highly motivated with the skills to motivate and influence others in delivering large scale projects with challenging and conflicting deadlines.
You will be a proactive and innovative individual who is capable of delivering novel and new ways of working to continuously improve the service we deliver with particular focus on the student experience. Above all, we are looking for creative individuals who can effectively manage and implement resources and provide leadership to a multi-skilled and talented group of technical staff; Someone with a strong commitment to delivering a quality service to staff and students across the organisation.
