Salary: £21,500 – £23,500 range per annun
Location: RIBA North, 21 Mann Island, Liverpool Waterfront, L3 1BP
Hours: 35 hours per week, Permanent

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) champions better buildings, communities and the environment through architecture and its members. In June 2017 the RIBA opened RIBA North, a National Architecture Centre on the Liverpool Waterfront with three Gallery spaces, a changing programme of temporary exhibitions and events, The Digital City Model, a design led shop and shortly, a new café.

RIBA North recently launched a venues and events offer selling the use of this unique Bauhaus inspired contemporary venue for meetings, symposia, cocktail receptions and product launches. As a Sales Executive based at RIBA North, you will be responsible for contributing to delivery of our budgets as well as managing resulting events at RIBA North.

The role will be required to contract and manage all new venues enquiries for RIBA North and during quiet periods short lead enquiries for our London venue 66 Portland Place.

This will be a wide-ranging role including, dealing with corporate, private client and internal events. You’ll be involved in contributing to the growth of the department’s turnover by applying sales techniques and assisting team members in applying the same. With proven sales, logistics, event planning and delivery experience and a passion for selling and delivering event services in a 5 * Hotel or a Heritage or Unique venue, you will be a confident sales-driven team member. A good communicator, you’ll have the ability to build relationships, manage expectations, meet deliverables and negotiate with clients and suppliers.

Our successful candidate will be a highly motivated, organised and target driven, and will be able to work as part of a wider team.
