6. Reporting to: Director, Face Lab
7. Job summary:
Based in Face Lab, the post holder will support the work of the Director and the research team in the areas of craniofacial analysis, forensic art and identification. The duties associated with this post primarily involve assisting the Director in the research activity of Face Lab, including data collection, interpretation and image production. The role will provide opportunities to expand and develop research skills and experience in creative art and identification fields within a nationally and internationally recognised research group.

8. Duties:
8.1 Assist with the collection and collation of facial image data and other intelligence
8.2 Under the guidance of the Director, assist in the preparation of research reports, academic papers and bulletins for research dissemination
8.3 Maintain research datasets as well as contact databases
8.4 On a day-to-day basis liaise with other agencies undertaking forensic art and face research
8.5 Assist with general research related logistical duties as and where appropriate
8.6 Support researchers in the collection of quantitative and qualitative data
8.7 Undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade of post as specified by the Director
8.8 Demonstrate an on-going personal commitment to the principles of forensic art and craniofacial identification
