Programme Manager
Salary: £25,000-£28,000 per annum.
Hours: 40 hours per week.
Contact has a long-standing commitment to diversity in its programming, producing, staffing and community engagement. We actively seek applications from the widest range of applicants.
Contact is a leading national contemporary theatre and arts organisation based in Manchester, with young people at the heart of everything we do. We work locally, nationally and internationally to provide life-changing opportunities for the next generation of creative leaders, artists and audiences, redefining theatre in the process. We produce and present a professional programme of outstanding performances, events and festivals in our building, surprising places and virtual spaces, for a young and highly diverse audience.
This is an exciting time for Contact, with plans for a £6.5m capital re-development under way which will secure the future of Contact’s vital work with young people and see us undertake a new ambitious programming model with an increase in higher-profile mid-scale work. In 2018 Contact will present an artistic programme around Manchester before returning to a refurbished building in 2019.
As Contact’s Programme Manager you will lead on programming an ambitious and nationally significant programme of theatre, dance, spoken word, contemporary circus and cabaret. You will have excellent knowledge of contemporary performance with previous experience of programming for a dynamic and energetic venue, and strong enthusiasm for working with young and early career artists.
Deadline for submission of applications: Monday 30th January 2017 at 10:00am.
Interviews will be held on: Friday 10th February 2017.
