This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone with distinction in a relevant disciplinary area (encompassing contemporary art, creative digital, aesthetics, technology and artistic research) and a strong record of attracting research income and producing high quality outputs combined with a multi-disciplinary approach.

You will be outward looking, have a network of contacts at other UK and international universities, institutes and arts organisations and bring an enthusiasm for mentoring and research career development. You will be expected to develop and lead world-class research in the area of your expertise; evidenced through income generation, high-quality publications, networking and impact. You will also mentor and facilitate the activity of other researchers and ensure Liverpool School of Art & Design is a recognised centre of excellence.

Professors at Liverpool John Moores University are expected to lead the development, implementation and delivery of research strategies which align with the University’s overarching research strategy and which will benefit Liverpool School of Art & Design and the University in the short, medium and long term.
