The School of Arts and Media is one of the leading centres for practice-based education in the creative disciplines in the North West. The School is at the forefront of University-wide curriculum innovation through industry partnerships. The Digital and Creative ‘Industry Collaboration Zone’ supports partnerships and projects with the creative industries across the region and nationally, which inform the curriculum, enrich the student experience and enhance employment opportunities.
We are looking to recruit to two part time Performance Technician posts (0.5 FTE, i.e. 18.125 hours per week) who will join the technical support team, working primarily to provide support in areas of live performance. The roles will include providing technical support for rehearsals, productions, projects, concerts and events, and managing the maintenance and administration of resources across the performance and rehearsal facilities. Reporting to the Technical Manager, the post holders will provide day-to-day support to students, staff, and external agencies, and manage the operation of the theatres and live performance spaces.
The holders of this posts will join the technical team within Arts & Media, primarily supporting the areas of Performance, Music and Dance, and providing their expertise to all areas of the School where required.
